BETHEL'S MISSION

Bring people to know Jesus Christ through
 Enlisting them in His church,
 Teaching them God's Word,
Helping them grow in Christ's likeness and
Equipping them for His ministry while
Lifting up and exalting the Savior.

When you visit our church, you will find:

  • A caring congregation that will gladly welcome you
  • Preaching/teaching that is centered on the Word of God
  • A country-type setting with nice buildings and plenty of parking space

We at Bethel would like to extend a personal invitation to you. I know, after just one visit with us,  you will find what you are looking for. We are growing and adapting our Worship Service. If you have worshiped with us before and we haven't seen you in a while, come see us again. As the new Pastor of Bethel, I am looking forward to meeting you. Come by and be our guest, we are always excited in additions to our growing family at Bethel Baptist Church.

We have a wonderful worship center and our church is nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the mainstream. Our country surroundings transport you to a calmer place, one where life slows down and enjoyment begins.  Come on by and experience the loving welcoming relaxed atmosphere here at Bethel Baptist. If you need to contact me, my e-mail address is bethelbaptist@grandecom.net.

See You in Church,
Pastor James Anaya

Coming to Bethel Baptist Church on July 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.

First Century Ministries with Wade & Jennifer Burleigh

Through live demonstrations and drama, Wade and Jennifer use wood, sculpting, blacksmithing, pottery and more to teach the love and lessons of Jesus Christ. For example, in "Crown of Thorns" a cedar log is carved into a magnificent head of Christ right before your eyes. As thorns are slowly pounded in, Wade sings in his rich baritone voice a heart wrenching song of how they represent each of our sins. It will leave its' mark on your heart never to be forgotten. For more information about this wonderful ministry you can visit their website at www.FirstCenturyMinistries.org. you can see the Burleigh's live at Bethel Baptist on July 12, 2009 for their morning worship at 11:00 a.m.

Women's Support & Encouragement Group

Do you ever feel like you are the only one looking out onto a world of particpants, lonely, isolated, and without anyone who understands?  Well, guess what...me too!  But I have hope for you, I am not alone, and neither are you.  God gave us the great blessing of friendship and sisterhood.  We may not all be in the same place of our lives at the same time, but I promise we are all SOMEWHERE!  All women of all ages and circumstance are welcome to join us , begingin Jan. 20, on Tuesday evening at 7 pm.  We will pray together, laugh togehter, cry together, and learn together.  You don't have to feel alone anymore.  We are here.  Our first study will follow the book by Patsy Claremont, "I Second That Emotion: Untangleing our zany emotions".  Please, join us.  If you are not sure, just give us a try.  For more information please call Tamara Anaya at 361-334-3996.

Let Us Know!

Look for the box in our church foyer for your ideas, thoughts, or other communications you would like to include in the Bethel Billboard, our church news letter.   Or e-mail your ideas, announcements, or information to houseofanaya@grandecom.net.  Make sure you put "Behtel Billboard" in the subject line of your e-mail so we don't overlook it.

Helping Hands Still Needed

We are still in need of volunteers for our Helping Hands Ministry Team.  There is something everyone can do for someone else.  Perhaps it is watering a garden, walking a dog, changing an A/C filter, or running an errand.  No one will be asked to do something they are not capable of, and you will only be asked when needed.  What a great way to help out members of our church family.  Please see Bro. James Bell or Bro. James Anaya, let them know you are interested in helping out and what you are willing to do.  Remember there is a job for everone, no one is too old or too young!

Evening Bible Study

Make sure you join us for evening Bible study, Sundays at 5:30 pm.  This is a casual interactive time of discussion.  W e are just begining an indepth study of the Old Testament.  This is your chance to ask questions, discuss, and learn something new.  It won't be the same without you, so please join us!

Prayer

If you have a prayer request, please go to the Prayer link above and post your request.   Also feel welcome to join us, begining Jan. 14, every Wed. evening at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall Building.  We will meet for a 30-45 minute time of focus on prayer.  We at Bethel feel that the coming together as a family to express our prayer concerns is important, and we want you to feel welcome to join us.  Bring us your prayer concerns and join us as we lift them up together.
